Glomar Offshore today announces the retirement from service of the guard vessel “Verona I”. This comes with mixed feelings, as the vessel was the first unit to be managed by Glomar and has been in our fleet since the establishment of our company 11 years ago.
The 1972 build vessel was refurbished in 2012 and since her joining our fleet, she had zero LTI during operations.
Klaas Weij, CEO of the Glomar Group stated: “With the offshore market stabilising over the last months, we are actively looking towards modernising our fleet. As such, she was surplus to our ‘future proofing’ plans. We would like to thank all the crews sailing on her over the last years for a job well – and safely – done.”
